More About Kelly

Kelly is a graduate of the City College of New York and holds a BFA in Classical Music Performance. Her introduction to music began at the age of 12 when her middle school music teacher encouraged her to learn the flute. Although the flute was not her preferred instrument, she grew to love it with time as it quickly became a part of her daily routine. At the age of 17, she realized music was much more than a routine for her and began studying flute privately with Susan Rotholz. She continued to study with Rotholz throughout and after college. While at CCNY, Kelly participated in various ensembles including the Brazilian Jazz Ensemble, Latin Jazz Ensemble, and Klezmer Ensemble. This led to her creating and directing the World Music Ensemble for 2 years and interning for the New York Klezmer Series. Kelly continues to share her love of Brazilian, Klezmer, and Latin music through performances with her musical partners Henry Martinez and Michael Laster.
